Living in the Washington DC metropolitan area can be awesome. I pretty much have a front row seat to all the things I find important and interesting, like plants and animals and environmental issues. But my true purpose here on this earth is to “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything [Jesus Christ] have commanded you” (Matthew 28:18-20). I am truly grateful to have been uniquely situated in this DC area that hums with people from all corners of the earth. I am dedicated in trying to be the best steward of this earth I can be, to the earth and humans alike.
I am a student at the University of Maryland, College Park, and I am double majoring in Multiplatform Journalism and Plant Sciences: Conservation and Ecology. I have an awesome aussie named Sky, who everyone thinks is a puppy but really she’s almost 10 years old. On my down time, you will either catch me gardening, reading, writing, singing (actually you’ll catch me singing all the time), trying to teach myself different stringed instruments (currently I have a ukulele, guitar, violin, banjo and piano), walking my dog/hiking, and playing volleyball.
